3 arrested on drug possession charges in Fort Frances

Two women from Fort Frances and a teenager from Toronto are facing drug possession charges.

They were arrested after police executed a search warrant in Fort Frances.

Members of the Rainy River District OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Kenora Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) and Treaty Three Police Street Crime Unit were involved in the investigation.

OPP say nearly $8,000 in methamphetamine, Canadian cash and drug-related items were discovered.

The women, aged 49 and 53, and the 17-year-old were each charged with drug possession.

They are to appear in court at a later date.
