A 20 year old Whitefish Bay (Naotkamegwanning First Nation Territory) man has been arrested after assaulting a police officer.
The incident took place last Thursday afternoon on Sylvain Street in Kenora when the OPP were dispatched to help an officer.
The officer indicated he was there on a different matter and was assaulted while trying to assist another person.
The suspect was arrested and is due to appear in court May 2nd.
