Local Sports Report for Friday, February 3

The International Falls Broncos varsity girls’ basketball team got by Greenway 35-32 Thursday night.

Gracie Swenson and Piper Tomczak each had 12 points.

The juniors also won over Greenway, 47-24 was their final.

On the schedule today, the Fort Frances Muskies senior boys basketball team opens play at a tournament in Kenora.

The Fort Frances Lakers are at Kam River for the start of a two-game road stand with the Fighting Walleye.

Lots of tournament action for our minor hockey teams.

The Fort Frances Girls-Women’s Hockey Association hosts an event involving U7, U9 and U11 teams.

The girls’ U15 team is competing in Fargo.

International Falls is hosting a tournament with U11 teams that also includes squads from Fort Frances, Emo and Kenora.

The Fort Frances Canadians U13 team is in Brandon.
