Ontario Releases Fall Economic Statement Next Week

Less than two week after the federal government has given it fall economic statement, the province of Ontario will do the same.

Finance minister Peter Bethlenfalvy will deliver his latest economic statement, one week from today, on November 14th and says being flexible is the key.

“The road ahead will not be easy in these uncertain times,” Bethlenfalvy told the Ontario Legislature.

“The global economy will continue to see growth slow in the near term. Government’s will need to be agile with a responsible plan to respond to all challenges while acknowledging the risks of inflation.”

Ontario is already expected to post a surplus of two billion dollars this year.

Inflation and a possible recession are expected to be addressed in the province’s fall forecast.
