Confederation College is making no changes in how programs will be delivered this semester despite the lifting of some public health restrictions.
In a Facebook Live event, President Kathleen Lynch told students they did not want to disrupt their schedules.
“There may be opportunities for some students to come from time to time, but that will really depend on whether students are available. We know you’ve made plans already, and we don’t want to disrupt those plans or the schedules that you have,” says Lynch.
Lynch says they are hoping students can resume face-to-face learning in the spring semester.
“Our plan is to return in the spring semester back to fully face-to-face for all of our theory and our labs. Obviously, that depends on culvert restrictions.”
Lynch also told students she’s holding out hope graduation ceremonies to be held in person.
“We know that it’s not easy for you, and it’s not easy for anybody during this time. But what we really cross our fingers for is maybe a graduation this year where we can see you for those folks who are finishing.”
