The release of a confidential legal document prepared for council is being questioned by a Fort Frances town councillor.
Councillor Doug Judson has asked the town’s Chief Administrative Officer to look into it.
The document served as the basis of a Fort Frances Times story related to area wood rights.
Both the municipal Code of Conduct and the provincial Municipal Act restrict the release of confidential information without Council authorization.
In a Facebook post, Judson states the only individuals privy to the document initially were select members of council and a few staff and advisors.
