Integrity Commissioner To Present Report To Council Tonight

The town’s Integrity Commissioner is recommending Fort Frances Councillor Doug Judson issue a public apology for comments made on social media last fall.

The Commissioner’s report is being presented to Fort Frances town council at its meeting this evening.

Darrell Matson rules Judson breached the Municipal Code of Conduct when he referred to an anonymous author of a newspaper letter as a quote, “White Senior Citizen,” when it was noted it came from a resident of Flinder’s Place, a seniors apartment complex.

The letter was responding to the eventual name change of Colonization Road.

Judson has already spoken out against the ruling, saying the Commissioner’s report is fraught with errors.
