The town of Fort Frances is ready to welcome Americans back to the region.
There’s a new ‘Welcome Back, We Missed You’ sign at the border.
Smaller signs have been placed along some of the main routes in town.
Economic development consultant Tannis Drysdale says stickers have also been provided to businesses promoting the same message.
Drysdale says they are also reaching out to Americans through their digital devices.
“We’re starting to ping people at the border. So that GPS drop at the border, that’s going to happen if you cross the border, you’re going to see on your digital devices advertising campaigns about Fort Frances,” says Drysdale.
Most of the ads currently are about the new digital fishing tournament on Rainy Lake.
