Fire Hazard Remains In High Range

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says there were six new forest fires starts in the northwest region on Sunday.

Two of them are within the Rainy River district.

One was located near Cryderman Lake, about 48 kilometres northeast of Fort Frances.

The other is near Fog Lake, about 70 kilometres northeast of Fort Frances.

Another was located about 17 kilometres northeast of Nestor Falls at Kakagi Lake.

All were small in size.

A total of 110 fires burn, 18 now considered not under control.

The fire hazard remains in the high range for much of the region.
