No new cases of COVID 19 in the Northwestern Health Unit’s catchment area or Minnesota’s Koochiching County.
But another person has died from the virus in Thunder Bay.
The person was living in a long-term care facility, which has been the subject of a recent outbreak.
There was also one new case of the virus in that region.
That person got it through close contact with someone else already with it.
As of Wednesday, there were 75 active cases of COVID-19 in the Thunder Bay District.
The Northwestern Health Unit’s active caseload is holding at 19.
Province-wide, there was another one-day record for Ontario for new cases of the novel coronavirus.
Health Units across Ontario reported Wednesday a combined 2,923 case and 19 related deaths.
Twelve of those deaths were residents of long-term care homes.
