A senator from northwestern Ontario is in trouble again with the political system, but this time it’s in the United States.
A report by Vice says Lynn Beyak made a donation of $300 back in May to the Republican National Committee.
According to election laws in the US, a foreign national cannot donate to to a US political party or candidate.
Beyak also gave an address of Dryden, New York and listed her profession as retired.
A spokesperson from her office says the donation was made in error.
