11-year-old Killed In Thunder Bay

An 11-year-old boy is the victim in Thunder Bay’s first murder of 2020.

Thunder Bay City Police says he was rushed to hospital after being found in a home on Victoria Avenue on Leland and Edward New Year’s Day at around 7 am. The cause of his death is not being revealed with an autopsy scheduled for this weekend in Toronto.

A second victim, a 59-year-old man was treated and released from the hospital. Police add they discovered there had been a fight between a woman and the two victims. They say the woman has been identified as the mother of the 11-year-old.

Charged with second-degree murder and aggravated assault is 34-year-old Courtney Marie Labelle of Thunder Bay.
