St. Thomas Aquinas has won the consolation final of the All-Ontario single “a” girls volleyball championship.
The Saints downed St. Michael Catholic High School from Kemptville, which is just south of Ottawa.
TA lost the first set but came roaring back to win the next three for the victory.
Meanwhile, the Fort Frances Muskies senior girls’ volleyball team has bowed out at the “AA” championships in North Bay.
The Muskies finished the round robin with a 1-3 record and lost to EL Crossly Secondary School from Fonthill in the consolation quarterfinals.
