Atikokan won two gold medals at the NorWOSSA “A” championships.
The Voyageurs hosted the two-day finals and the senior girls came away with a first-place finish by beating St. Thomas Aquinas from Kenora in three straight sets.
The other gold medal came in senior boys basketball, as Atikokan got by Red Lake.
In junior play, the Saints junior boys won NorWOSSA gold by taking down the Rams and Rainy River won the junior girls volleyball final against Pelican Falls three sets to none.
The Voyageurs seniors teams will compete next week for the NWOSSA titles against teams yet to be determined.
