Funding For Hospital Upgrades

Some funding for hospitals just prior to Christmas.

The province is doling out $175-million to 131 facilities across Ontario.

Health Minister Christine Elliott says that will help with a variety of upgrades.

“This funding will help ensure hospitals across Ontario are able to make the needed upgrades improvement and maintenance to maximize capacity,” says Elliott. “By providing these funds for these essential health care projects, hospitals will be maintaining their operational capacity across the province ensuring that Ontarians have the health care services they need both now and of course in the future.”

The province is also making it easier for hospitals to consider naming rights by eliminating the need for Ministry approval.
