I. Falls To Test New Meeting Start Time

International Falls City council is changing its meeting times.

The bi-weekly council meeting will now start at 5:30 p.m. every second Monday of the month instead of 4:30 p.m.

Mayor Harley Droba says it will be done on a three-month trial in hopes of seeing more people coming to the council meetings.

“The goal that we have for this city council is to have more participation from residents, community members and people that are just generally concerned about what we’re doing and how we’re doing it,” says Droba.

Droba says if they don’t see more people attending, consideration will be given to moving back to 4:30 p.m. start time.
