The Fort Frances Choraliers Annual Christmas Cantata

It was a real pleasure to be part of The Fort Frances Choraliers annual Christmas Cantata performance this holiday season.

The title of the cantata was “Christmas Anthems” and once again the amazing Diane Maxey coached and conducted roughly 70 singers!

Diane is simply incredible. She gets the most out of a talented group each and every year. She gently guides everyone to the best that they can possibly be. It takes patience and skill to oversee such a large group made up of so many different octaves singing so many different harmonies. She even takes the time to write personalized Christmas cards to each of us!

These performances don’t come together easily. Each and every member of the cantata commit to weeks of rehearsal ahead of time. We practice regularly in a large group with Diane and at home on our own with a song book and a CD. All my fellow singers deserve a HUGE pat on the back for their time, dedication and effort.

This year’s cantata featured many solo performances. It’s truly amazing to see the talent that we have here in the Borderland on full display in a setting like this!

If you came to see us sing at Rainycrest Long-Term Care, Zion Lutheran Church in International Falls
or The Townshend Theatre in Fort Frances…Thank you for supporting the Choraliers and we hope you enjoyed the show!
