Local Sports Report For Friday, December 6

Fort Frances Muskies hockey teams are in tournament action in Manitoba this weekend.

The boys’ team is in Brandon and play their first game at 12:15 p.m. today against Neepewa Area Collegiate.

They are then back on the ice at 6 p.m. for a game against Morden.

 

The girls’ hockey team plays in Portage La Praire at the PCI Saints Xmas Classic.

They’re on the ice early, 9:15 a.m. today against Sanford Collegiate.

They will play again at 3 p.m. against Winnipeg’s Sturgeon Heights.

 

International Falls Broncos girls basketball team lost 65-44 to Ely.

Chloe Sullivan led the Broncos with 15 points.

 

Hockey and basketball for teams at Falls High School this weekend.

Tonight, the Broncos boys’ hockey team plays in Hibbing.

The boys’ basketball team is in Ely.

Tomorrow, the girls’ hockey team hosts Superior, 2 p.m. at Bronco Arena.

 

Fort Frances Lakers are on home ice tonight in their rematch with the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.

The Lakers lost to the Dogs two nights ago in Dryden.

Game time is 7:30 p.m.

Fans are reminded to bring a new unwrapped toy for the team’s toy drive.

They’ll be donated to the United Native Friendship Centre’s Adopt-A-Family program.
