Ontario Provincial Police say it was a single-vehicle collision that led to a lengthy closure of Highway 11.
A section of highway near Flanders Road was closed early Tuesday afternoon.
The driver, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was transported to hospital for treatment of what police described as life-threatening injuries.
No other details were provided.
The highway remained closed until 1 a.m. Wednesday.
